In 2018, Brendan had just moved to DC, so he did what any young, single guy would do – he started swiping. By the grace of the algorithms, he met Caitlin. Our first date was at the H Street Country Club (RIP). We quickly hit it off and bonded over our shared sense of humor, similar music tastes, and love of movies, even though it was clear that Brendan needed to brush up on his knowledge of classic literature. Brendan got to work planning our next date at Johnny Pistolas, which we both understood to be an unassuming Mexican restaurant; but not even the bad club vibes or mid-tier margaritas could slow us down. Fast forward through many dinner dates, movie nights, and days exploring DC, we got our first apartment together in 2019 in Adams Morgan, just a few blocks from where we will be getting married.

Now, seven years, several apartments, another cat, a global pandemic, countless other milestones, and a whole new city later, it’s starting to feel serious! We are best friends, each other’s biggest supporters, and decent roommates – this could not be an easier next step together, and we hope you’ll join us as we celebrate.
